Overlooking Al Aqsa Mosque, Jerusalem.

With arrests of two Palestinians who reside in East Jerusalem, comes a Jerusalem Post report that the two Hamas activists were preparing to attack a sport’s event in a Jerusalem stadium and that Hamas is moving to control the Temple Mount.

The Jerusalem Post reports: During the investigation, the Shin Bet also uncovered a growing Hamas presence in Jerusalem aimed at establishing a foothold on the Temple Mount. This is done by funding maintenance of the Temple Mount compound – called Al-Aksa by the Arabs – and in subsidizing school trips to the mosques there.

One Jerusalem has long maintained that if Jerusalem is divided it will become a base for attacks on the western part of the city and that the Palestinians will lay claim to the Temple Mount. this latest incident supports our contention.
